Session lifecycle
Session status, Overall check status and Check session status
Every session has a configuration on one side and a lifecycle on the other. The configuration sets up the session and includes checks and expected input data. The session defines the result based on the performed checks.
- Sessions lifecycle - Created | Processing | Done | Ongoing | Ready.
- Checks lifecycle - Initiated | Processing | Passed | Not Passed | Error.
Based on the check's lifecycle and status, it's possible to get all check results. The check status overview is at the end of the session - session Done -> overall status is set.
Be aware not all the statuses are presented to the end user. The system offers only a simple lifecycle on the top level.
Session status
When you create a new session, it goes through a lifecycle with the following statuses:
1. Created - the request succeeded and resulted in the creation of a session.
2. Processing - session starts, fetches, and processes data for certain checks. The session remains in this status until completed.
3. Done - session execution is completed and the user gets the results. According to the check results, the session has different session check statuses.
4. Ongoing - session receives initial data but updates in the future. This status relates only to the Monitoring Personal Sanctions check. Monitoring goes through a specific time frame so that results follow up during that period.
Check Status
Check status represents a set of all checks with all check statuses.
When you start a new session, you can get different overall check statuses:
1. Initiated - the user launches the check session.
2. Processing - check has this status as long as the session processes. The status remains until the session finishes. Processing time depends on the size of the database and the number of checks.
3. Passed - all results are false positive
, and there are no true positive
check results.
4. Not Passed - one or more check results are true positive
or pending
- the match is found. The session will remain in this status until the received list is reviewed and verified and all results are moved to false positive
status.
5. Error - the session returns the result and an error message in case of any problems while processing the input data. To overview the error scroll down to Checks to inspect the Error type.
Check session status
This status indicates the current status of initiated checks session.
1. Initiated - session for the specific check is launched.
2. Processing - check will have this status as long as the check session processes. It will remain in this status until finished. Processing time depends on the size of the database and the number of checks that need to be processed.
3. Passed - the check session is false positive
, and there are no true positive
check results.
4. Not Passed - one or more check results for certain check types are true positive
or pending
- the match is found. The check session status will remain in the same status until the list returned is reviewed and verified. All results have to be marked as false positive
to change the check session status to Passed.
5. Error - the check session will return this result and an error message in case of any problems while processing the input data.
